A Little Bit About Karen

Karen is a big believer in looking at the “big picture” of a patient’s health and wellness, including their physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. In order to do this, she feels it is imperative to carefully listen to her patients and get a detailed report of their medical history as well as their current needs.

Being middle-aged and experiencing all of the changes that aging entails, Karen has a great appreciation for the importance of keeping the body in balance. She believes if people are blessed with longevity, they should enjoy their years with optimum health and well-being.

Karen has also taught as an Adjunct Professor in the Nursing programs at Concordia University and Texas State University. As a big proponent of continual learning throughout the lifespan, Karen continues to take courses on bio-identical hormone replacement and is beginning coursework at the Institute of Functional Medicine.
