As the leading dermal filler, Juvederm uses hyaluronic acid to consistently deliver smooth, long-lasting results.
The Science Behind Juvederm
At each point of injection, hyaluronic acid holds in water and acts as a cushioning agent. By replenishing the natural hyaluronic acid that the skin has lost, it temporarily adds volume and a smoother appearance to the skin.
Unlike other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, Juvederm is developed using a technologically advanced manufacturing process called Hylacross. This premium technology creates a smooth, fluid gel that flows freely into the skin and results in a natural finish.
Competing hyaluronic acid dermal fillers use a gel particle suspension formulation. The gel particles in this type of filler can be seen under magnification, which results in a less natural-looking finish.
Types of Juvederm
Juvederm Ultra: The original Juvederm formula, Ultra is best for treating moderate lines and wrinkles, limited facial contouring and scar correction, and moderate lip enhancement. Results may last for up to 9 months.
Juvederm Ultra Plus: The Plus formula is thicker and more stable than the Juvederm Ultra formula.
This makes the Plus more suitable for deeper lines and wrinkles, areas with more volume loss, significant lip enhancement, nasolabial folds, and facial shaping. Results may last for up to 9-12 months.
