Karen Zizzo earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1985. In 1991, she relocated to Austin, where she subsequently obtained her Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997.
Ms. Zizzo’s experience as a Nurse Practitioner predominantly encompasses women’s health. However, she has also worked in critical care, recovery, and neurology. She possesses a particular interest in headaches, having acquired extensive knowledge regarding migraines, diagnostic criteria, and various treatment options.
In addition to her practical experience, Ms. Zizzo has served as an Adjunct Professor in the nursing programs at Concordia University and Texas State University.
